which ones are everybody using? gonna be looking at getting another within next few months as mine has died a death, my menzer one had been sent back to germany for repairs and they came back essentially saying beyond repair, so not sure i will be going for one of them again seeing as it was only 3/4 years old! thinking either a secondhand spe str701 or maybe the refina one brandnew.
I`ve got a 701. Bought it new about 10 years ago now, and its been excellent. Only ever had to have the cable replaced. Heavy enough to do most jobs, and just about movable on your own
I've got a str701 second hand and I've had it a good few years and used it for grinding concrete buffing screed, the only thing that will go on the str is the bearings and they are £20. The 701 are heavy but good, I've got a old wirbal machine that I picked up at auction for £130 a lot lighter and I've only used it for buffing screed. Pwm have got a good deal on the wirbal
I've got a nilfisk to which is the same as the STR but it hasn't left the garage since I got the wirble
Looks a good bit of kit daz but I need one that will sand latex as well, that refina one is just the diamond grinder isnt it, thinking maybe the wirbel one that seems to be rebranded under a few names on differents sites, as ideally I dont want a 32amp plug on it as cant be arsed with lugging one of them big boxes on site
It's 32 amp for more power Spins the dust off screed in seconds. I've got the str with 4 discs including pcd and dust cowl. Wouldn't be without it and never had problems in 4 years of owning it.
Looking into getting one..., doesn't need to be a Ferrari., a Lada will do (Doesn't need to be new either)
That wirble is that the 1.2kw or 1.7kw model? As there's 2 the 1.2 would be same power as my menzer that died so was thinking maybe pay out abit more to get the bigger motor would be a better investment
ended up winning on ebay a Numatic NAW1515K Woodworker for just under £200 which has the vac built into it, has the same specs as the one I killed except that this one has a more powerful motor by a few hundred watts, just got too pick it up now
bout 10 miles from me over woking way, saw it on ebay and had been sitting at £100 for a few days so followed it whacked my highest in with about 15 seconds to go and got it
Bargain that mate I've got a numatic it's really good but heavy Still forgot to check what power my wirble is but it will grind no problem so it's powerful enough
