It’s actually worse! Upon closer look earlier today, there were bolts and washers embedded in the screed. He didn’t even sweep up!

I always find it easier to grind down bolts and washers afterwards, rather than pick them up first, the time consuming bit is getting a good coat of primer on them

If he’s worked in airports before he should have jumped straight on a plane and left the country because he clearly doesn’t do the job properly and cuts corners

He's trying it on. I've heard some old school fitters using this method before but this is not the standard process, he's making it up has he goes along. Doesn't matter whether he's worked in dubai laying flooring for the rich or whether he's worked in Buckingham Palace, this is a cowboys lazy way. Has the other firm started already?
That’s what I thought. He mentioned something about F3 adhesive on concrete and that it’s impossible to take it up unless you do what he’s done. The new firm are due to come Weds to uplift the nasty screed. They were in shock when they came to visit the site.
