    Hi everyone,

I have done some screeding in my property and I am going to put carpet and laminate over it.

Is it necessary to use concrete sealer on it?

There is a DPM underneath the screed.

I was only going to do it to suppress smells coming up from screed but I was told after it cures there will be no smell from it.

    Thoughts?

    In appreciation in advance.

You could prime the floor at 4-1 which would help with the dust

That smell is the moisture drying. It will go once it’s dry. You shouldnt cover it until it’s dry anyway. 1mm per day should be enough for carpet and laminate
