    lee floorstock are part of floorwise mate, floorstock's in manchester run all 3 latex's

    hi all just a thought as you want to put solid wood in hall and it already has a solid wood floor covered in vinyl tiles, I can assume if existing solid floor is still ok, moisture is not an issue, install new flooring over existing tiles using secret nails or screws.if you need to put a DPM in place i would suggest something like roofing felt as this will let both floors breath and keep the integrity of the orginal floor intact as this is the supporting floor, its a cost effective way of doing it. as for the carpet not sure don't work with them

    It's a solid floor as in concrete/screed mate.

    sorry for that, must keep that in mind for future reference, to me a solid floor is wood where a concrete floor is well concrete, but as they say you learn something new everyday

    suspended - floorboards etc..:D
