Have a few spare square meters of spacia tiles left over from our kitchen so gonna pop it into the upstairs cupboard ( 1.5 x 1.8 ) Subfloor wise should I throw down some 6mm ply or stick with the chipboard as its only in a 2x1 space ? also what would I use to stick it ? Loose lay would be daft wouldn’t be an option im assuming If adhesive would be to expensive would it be better to just get someone in to fit it ?
Adhesive: pop down to a local flooring place, should be able to pick up a litre pot of acrylic/universal or something similar (which will do 4sqm) for about £10-12
If it's just going in a cupboard then providing the floor is flat then just stick the lvt down. If it's not level enough for the amtico to lay flat them 6mm ply it.
Thats my thinking . No natural daylight will hit it so seams wont be a dreadful issue . Chip board floor so seams not the best but essentially level to most degrees the chap who fitted my hsl offered some tackifier but cant say from experience as he only does carpet , will that do or should I stick with acrylic adhesive ? ( also reading online don’t fit to tight and new blade every few planks ) again thanks for all input
