Hi, I've got some kardean(is that spelt right? icon_redface.gif ) flooring. I'm nearing the end of refurbing the house. Never laid this stuff before, done laminate find that quite easy and enjoyable. I'll be screwing down all my current floorboards so creeks are hopefully stopped. Then laying down 6mm ply 2400x1200mm boards, these will be fixed by ring nails every 150mm aprox. Then it comes to the sticky glue stuff, like I said total novice at this application. So any tips would be kind plus is it best to do with skirts and archys on or off? I have a hallway, kitchen and dining room to do, would like it to flow.
try looking at these topics- viewtopic.php?f=3&t=447 and this one might be a massive help also viewtopic.php?f=32&t=371 HOWEVER!!! The glues used above are not recommened to keep the guarranty. The adhesives supplied by karndean work in a simular way but YOU must read the instructions!
thanks very much  After reading through that post and looking at the pictures i can now see there is alot more to installing this kardean than i thought! The karndean instructions make it sound easy. Thanks very much for your help. I think you have saved me from a massive cock up here. Can anyone recommend a installer that i can employ to do the job for me? (south end) Thanks.
LOL, try looking in this section viewtopic.php?f=48&t=212 There is a link to the NICF (The National Institute of Carpet & Floor ) website in there. You will find a member in there that is approved or a master installer in your are.
