Hi all, looking for help and advice to best soundproof my top floor flat from airborne noise from the flat below. Looking to carpet throughout but main focus on soundproofing the lounge and bedroom as best as possible. I looked into acoustic membranes to go underneath the underlay but is something you would advise doing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best way is to fill in the void under your floorboards or chipboard. We have used these panels before ontop of the floorboards then underlay and then carpet… https://www.cmsdanskin.co.uk/genera...-flooring/soundlay-acoustic-overlay-material/
Mass lots of mass, you also want to use different insulations of varying thickness with air gaps between plus you will need to isolate the floor from the walls a lot of the noise is due to vibration. Soundproofing is really expensive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
