Got to be coffee for me these days. I had a cup of tea the other evening but, to be honest, it tasted ok at first but soon became incredibly bitter.
coffee yn y bore (in the morning) then tea in the arvo for me... can't function until i get a good strong coffee kick down my neck...
If offered I take a tea but drink coffee everywhere else. My thinking is everyone can make a half decent cuppa tea but not everyone can make nice coffee. The other taboo is only drink coke if you see the can ( real coke only ).
coffee black and no sugar, stays warmer longer and dosen't get that fatty skin on top , can take a sip fit a winder take another sip another winder and so on. a bacon butty is a must before the first job, or at the very least before noon. don't really do lunch as have trouble fitting with a full stomac
I stick to my bottle of water these days, customers more often than not make terrible cups of coffee.
I chew a lot of gum since I gave up smoking, so I use that as an excuse to refuse the offer of a brew from customers. I swear that some of them deliberately make crappy tea/coffee
For me, coffee is not all about being awake and having energy. Even though I sometimes do not have other choices and need to chug my cup of coffee fast, I really do prefer having time to drink it. In the past I used to drink coffee with milk but once I stopped consuming dairy products I started to drink only black coffee from the espresso coffee machine. What can I say, after your tongue gets used to the bitterness of black coffee you really start to feel the difference between different varies of beans and separate 'good' from 'bad' coffee. I cannot imagine drinking coffee with milk right now.
Going to sound snobby now, but it depends on the customer. If they look like they’d buy cheap coffee then I’ll go for tea, otherwise I’ll have coffee, but only if it’s decent stuff. Saying that, some of the houses I’ve worked in lately I politely turn down the offer of a drink
