Hi, We have purchased EcoFloor Heating mat in error for use with our laminate floor in our kitchen. Can we use this without a screed so long as we first lay thermal insualtion board on top of our concrete floor, then the heating mat and then the laminate. I understand this is an acceptable installation method with the film type elements but unsure if this would be acceptable with the mat type element. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Lyndsey
Always do consider the insulation as thermal barrier prior to installing underfloor heating & tiles on a concrete floor – The floor insulation will surely provide greater response to the temperature change resulting faster heat up with lower running costs.
