    Hello,

I do apologise for asking the question that possibly has been asked hundreds of times before, but as I read majority of your threads it seemed a bit complicated.

I have an old Victorian house w a quarry tiled lobby, I can’t find a contractor to prepare the floor for tiling it so a decision has been made to do it myself. Could you please let me have details of a suitable floor structure (the whole “cake” w depths of it) to take back the quarry tiles that will be left unsealed. I’m prepared to the most drastic option of excavating and refilling w hardcore/blinding/damp proofing, but could potentially explore limecreting, although the perspective of it is daunting :)

Thank you very much in advance.

    Alice
