Think it depends on what you think there worth. I started Charlie on £50 a day. He is still on that as a basic, but I also give him the chance to earn extra.
Thats for upto 19 years old year. Only applies to 19 year olds if in 2nd year. The rates are actually dropping 10p i beleve soon. Personaly i think its a bit low and dont really give a asseentive for a aprentice to continue when there mates working at mc donalds are earning more .
Its actually up 5 pence for first year up to 19 year old. Rember that is the minimum, you can pay more if you wish.
Looking at the chart its £3.79 a hour. What about holidays? Says 20 days on that website. That inc days over xmas
EDIT.. I think you can insist they use a few of their own 20 days to cover that period between Xmas and new year.
Out of any holiday allowance you have to take out christmas and bank holidays. So if they get say 28 days holiday and we have 8 bank holidays next year they will bave 20 days left for their own use.
