Just wondering if anyone has any tips, company i work for does alot of repairs in commercial kitchens, toilets etc. the most obvious thing would be 2 replace whole lot but you know what these companys are like, anyhow was patching a bit of vinyl in a kitchen today and i had to be done by 12pm and could i get the weld to hold, grease spewing out the side so ended up going for the old flat cover strip as a had 2 get out for the chef to cook. Any tips out there? Cheers.

Always cut a fresh seam in both edges then degrease the top before you gouge it out

Probably best off cold welding repairs

Lift flap and dry as best with tissue then hat gun dry.
    Degrease, rinse then weld

Thanks for the tips guys. Does the same apply when rewelding a burst weld that needs 'touched up' with a new bit

It seems hard to believe but clean regroove and use a lino weld similar to the colour !!! Done this in many commercial kitchens
