Make a small mound over the hole with a little extra putty. Then, leave it to dry for 24 hours. After drying, smooth the lump with sandpaper until it is level with the rest of the floor.

Or, fill with type 1, then wacker plate it. Later on, fill with Juicy Fruit gum (other brands are available). Leave until hard, hey presto ! your ready to go

For a floor vent or hole, you can either:

Tile around it using a vent cover that sits flush with or slightly above the tile surface.

Install a recessed or tile-in register that blends seamlessly into the floor for a cleaner look.

Just make sure the vent remains accessible and doesn’t restrict airflow.

What do you do about the hole/vent in some floors?

(If only a hole there and not a vent) I always cut the flooring round the hole

(If only a hole there and not a vent)I repair the Hole and install over it

If there is a metal grid/vent i cut the flooring around it

If there is a metal grid/vent i go over it. It saves having drafts and new builds dont have them so
