What do you do if the work you had done has clear issues and the Tradesmen who said they totally guaranteed the work for 12 months just ignore you? I would like some advice from a trade perspective. We had laminate floors and carpet laid by a well rated tradesman. There was problems with the carpet from the beginning which were raised straight away but they said to let it settle down and not to worry about anything as the work was guaranteed for 12 months and anything would be fixed. They also stressed and promised this when quoting for the job. Then six months in there is now issues with the laminate too. They did say they would come and look at it and then just failed to turn up and now just avoid calls/letters/emails. What does a customer do in this instance? I We waited and saved up to get our floors done and now we just have clear problems with both which need attention. What does one do? And if nothing, is it viable to pay to get a consultation have somebody look at it for an independent opinion, see what can be done by another hopefully more dedicated professional? Would appreciate advice. Thanks
Contact Floorskills and get a inspection done and take him to court for your money back. What’s the issues and we might be able to help.
You been having issues lately? We’ve just had to rip out 2 jobs because the kaindl we fitted is making popping sounds and supplier doesn’t want to know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thanks. I will look into that possibility. There was issues with them dropping glue on the carpet and not stretching it tightly enough and the laminate is squeaky, sort of bouncy and there is a lumpy section and it's only been down around six months.
it's a few issues. That's why it seemed reasonable they try and fix it seeing they guaranteed the work. There was issues with them dropping glue on the carpet and not stretching it tightly enough and the laminate is squeaky, sort of bouncy and there is a lumpy section and it's only been down around six months. Thanks for your advice
I've had a customer having the same popping issues but with their Distinctive lvt click I fitted before xmas. Only happens on the cool mornings
Not with my jobs, but i mainly sell quickstep and balterio, but been out to a couple in the last 12months, where the customer couldn't get anywhere with the people they got it from, i find the problem is usually a bad subfloor or no expansion gaps (I'm not saying your problem is down to anything like that)
These are constant, to me it seems like the tolerances on the headers is too tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No it’s definitely manufacturer fault, it’s not just us that have had the same problem with the same colour in the same range and from the same batch, but they still try to weasel their way out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
