hi chaps, i have just joined another forum. I have been banned after my 5 th post because of 'spam'? I guess they mean because i sent a link to sid bourne who has a page on here maybe? I wouldn't mind but another user and a moderator has 'thanks' posts for adding sid bournes phone number etc. I was trying to help and linked to his page with the CFJ links. I hope im welcome on here and would like at least a warning or guidence on what i have done wrong.

Hmmmmmm Dont really want to get too involved in this debate but i have found this and shall we say other forums to be friendly and informative so i can't relate to the original poster experience. a warning at least would have been nice though ! ray
flooringchap. There are some good and helpfull forums out there. i have been a member on a few over the years. But im with you on the advice forum your talking about. I got treated bad myself and i know a fair few others that have also been treated poor on the said forum so not just yourself. However i would like to say that i know one of the mods well on the forum you have had a problem with and i can promise you that the mods are friendly and not the ones who would of banned you. However the site owner and his sidekick are both a pair of plonkers and ban happy. More to the point they know nothing about flooring! It is a very hit or miss place with its members. And if your a trader or offer a service like "flooring Assessments" etc the site owner will try and screw you for money. If you dont pay they try and make you look bad untill you pay! The site owner has made up lies and posted false comments about "flooring Assesments" over there, and then told Flooring Assessments to 'try' and sue him as "nobody else has managed to yet, good luck lol" comments . Nothing but a rip of artist mate.
we ask that you run them past us first. We have traders on here so it would not be fair to them for us to post links to other sites. However the odd link we are happy with. You can post links to other forums also if there happy to have links back to us. But please run these links past us first as your aware some forums dont take kindly to having links, if they wont allow it i dont see why we should allow links to them. (it would be nice to help each other out tho) We are pretty easy going over here tho. i am yet to have to issue a warning. There has been the odd pm i/the mods have had to send asking users not to do something with the reasons why. Never had to get to the point of issuing a warning or a even a ban! We have banned plenty of spam users tho (people you know dont have any intrest in the forum and only want to advertise porn/viagra etc) , we always check first incase they have made a mistake or not understood the rules but we have a database linked with other forums where we share the info.

yes mate, thats fine. The odd link is o.k but we dont want to see a link on every post! As i know you already posted a link to here on that forum and they have not removed it im happy to link back between the two forums. Who is stroudi ray? is that the site owner? do you have a phone number for him you can pm me?
He is the guy who runs it, a thouroughly decent chap as far as I can tell. It was a really good going forum until they tried to change servers or something and went offline for about a month - it has not recovered so far as everyone had to re-register. One major error, they made an american chap by the name of Floorguy a moderator and he tried to put words in peoples mouths, tinkered with folks posts including mine. He got kicked out and it never seemed to be the same after that. dont have a number for stroudi but i'm sure you could contact him via his forum as thats the name he uses. Ray
servers! tell me about it, we swapped a i month ago.We have only been running about 10 weeks and i think we have good numbers to be fair. However we lost our google listing. Ray can you do me a favour. Im not a member on "stroudis" forum. can you see if you can get me his number ? I wouldn't mind giving him a call and seeing if he is o.k with links back and forth and sharing members.
