It was my mums,s 80th birthday on the 12th, and being mothers day we are taking her out for a meal tonight

My plan for this weekend is to spend most of the day going around looking at carpet and hardwood floor options...I just don't know what to get. I want hardwood floors but the little ankle bitter (baby) might get hurt on hardwood floors when he is old enough to wiggle around and while trying to walk. Maybe I should go for carpet flooring? What do you think?
Yeah, I am thinking of going ahead and get hardwood floor. No I don't want my son to be a softy but again, he is still a baby. I just don't want him to fall on his face or head and get hurt worse if we had hardwood floors. This is my first child so I'm a new father and is naive when it comes to children. I have a flooring company come out to give me an estimate. I guess after they come out, its a matter of picking which hardwood and then the price will depend on what I pick. dont know of them mate. However most the people on here are from England/Scotland/Ireland and a few from Germany etc. Only a couple of people on here from accross the pond !
