Hi I'm looking for a sanding machine for prep with latex screeds if anyone can give me an idea on whic is best or even have one which there selling many thanks
What size jobs you do?..I’ve got Wolff samba which is v good but for big stuff borrow a mates str Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Domestic size jobs anything from hallways to 100sqm have a few coming up and it's just something I need.
You need a buffer for domestics? I only use mine for big commercial areas where I've screeded 100+m2 and have a few dry edge joins ....
Unless you have an ocd or your screeding is bad then I cant see why you need to buff down your screed especially in domestic If you need to sand/grind off old adhesive etc then I get it
OCD about everything my van my tools and my jobs. I do a lot of large areas in big houses if I can buy something to make my life easier then it's worth buying. It's just something I'd like to buy
So you saying you dont need to buff down your screed but you do anyway because of your ocd Not a crime though and getting a new toy to add to your collection is always a plus.. Keep your eye on ebay, sometimes a bargain can just pop up. I keep my eye on the German ebay aswell, you tend to find a fair bit of flooring machinery on there that works out cheap even with postage. ....or if you want brand spank then more companies these days are doing 12mth interest free on their tools so if you dont want to slam a big chunk down then spread the cost
No need to sand smoothing compounds on domestic jobs or at all if possible Your just making more work for your self
Sounds like a good idea with the interest free anywhere doing the Wolff samba with interest free?. Hi spacey I've lived with out one for years but when I do a large open area in my eyes it's worth giving it a quick whip over with a machine. If your doing say 50sqm + you wouldn't be tempted to just give it a quick sand?. A lot of my work is in Cheltenham large houses and new to old with extensions builders using anhydrite screeds etc. Iv been fitters for 20 years but I'm always happy for good advice
It’s a good idea mate. It takes away the crap dusty finish you get on some levelling compounds and is much easier than crawling around with a brick to knock off all the little snags you get. Also shows up any bits that might needs a bit of feather or a rub down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Anything to make my life easier and yeah if there's any imperfections they do pick it up..next question cheapest place to buy one?..
Obviously it's an essential tool to for Anhydrite prep and and a handy thing to have I have 3 Tbo but I tend to use them a grinders rather than sanding smoothing compounds I understand that on large areas quicker and easier to sand off pips than hand scrape but I avoid it if possible and it can create alot of mess to clean up and when you break or remove the surface of compounds you also need to prime them so its doubling the work load
I was looking a few weeks ago at them, how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking. And what did you get with it vac etc
