    Hi,
I am hoping for some advice with regards to a floor i have discovered whilst renovating an old house. As you can see in the picture attached i have a floor worth restoring but it has patches that require matching.
I've bought a mahogany dye and with a small patch test completed it doesn't look like a match (photo with rug/tiles inset)

Would any of you guys be able to offer any advice on the best way to treat floor to match existing?
    Any comment greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I'm no expert on wood but couldn't you sand all the floor down and then stain it all together

Yiddo, trying to avoid that if possible! Lotta floor and a million other things to be done first, cheers though.
