Anyone used this. I have a bathroom to do on a new build it has lvt stick down and want to go over it with karndean stick down. It would most likely be ok to stick the lvt to the lvt as they do stick extremely well together. But seen this pop up a few times called softlay you just stick it to the lvt then stick the new lvt to the softlay. can’t find any sites that sell it though

I used furlongs version of if over lvt in a bedroom, probably about 5 years ago (didn't need to be glued to the floor),did another job for the customer just before Christmas and she hasn't had any problems with it

Makes it slightly more susceptible to indenting but will do the job

Softlay isn’t about anymore, I’d now look for a product called m base underlay, if the lvt is bevelled that’s down, feather it, bond m base over it and then bond the lvt to the m base underlay, use a decent ps adhesive and let it tack off first, j2 flooring stock it

Its only a bathroom. Just take the LVT up. Prep and fit again. Potential for alot of water in there.
