Hi Guys - I am a DIY’er and have laid glue down Polyflor LVT in a upstairs landing and bathroom 4 months ago. (9mm ply, Ardex feather and F45) Was pleased with result. About to lay the same in a bedroom off the landing. The bedroom floorboards are mainly nice and flat, apart from about half a metre from a wall and the doorway to landing, which is where the previously laid LVT stopped. It slopes down to 10-16mm compared to rest of the flat floor.

I was hoping for a smooth transition but to get the floor withing spec, this area needs to be raised, which means a difference in floor heights of about 11mm, and the fitting of a transition bar (ugly).

I thought about using 6mm ply to reduce height difference or planing joists (gulp !).

Can anyone advise me whats best to do ?
