Been asked to do quite a bit of herringbone in the v4, 4 separate areas all 19m2 each.
I'm ardex 1c'in them all but the fitting m2 rate I'm wondering what the going rate for herringbone wood is?

Last time I did this type of work I charged £26m2

Depends on how many ins and outs there are in the room, a lot of the time, it's just as easy putting a border in. Is it the v4 zig zag?

The zig zag has beveled edges

Yes the v4 bevelled edge planks.
Ive always done border first with the engineered wood but was thinking is there a plus to doing the field first?

I usually fit the field first, then just run round the edges with a plunge saw and sometimes a router in doorways or cut short runs straight before i fit them, i prefer to run the border pieces through the table saw first, so I'm butting square edge to square edge

    I think that’s a fair fitting price
