I know alot of fitters who teach there lads to put them a grippers width away, i find that just a touch wide. Works with some carpets though.
And what about stairs?
Snickers are the best. The snickers floorlayer 6923 are nice and lightweight, they dont have the pull string for the pads but are a good fit.
