If you don’t want it to flatten go with heartlands not the ultra.
Yeah he won’t get a proper reading with that. But it don’t matter. The sub floor has no Dpm under it so the reading won’t matter as you can get...
Never heard a reading like that before. What meter is that. Should be RH% reading which needs to be below 75% . Most cases it would be 60% ish
Don’t think any fitter would fit a carpet with wet / muddy shoes. Mine have indoor trainers then put on inside the house in the winter mainly.
Yes Pug , He should have used the screed to get the floor level. and used a latex not a water mix.
So not being flat / level you will have problems of that lamainte not locking in properly.
Is the kictchen floor flat is the question. Have you got a long level or straight edge
not heard of it? Who makes it. Is it fibre reinforced?
Is the sub floor flat across the length
Wtf. Is he about 70 or 80. That was a way to test in the old old old days. He would need a hydrometer but the fact is that sub floor does not...
What flooring are you planning on using
Letting it breathe it great but you can go ardex na and ardex DPM1c system
The underlay needs to be water proof / vapour proof. Moisture tolerant means a screeding compound lets moisture pass through it with no problems.
What laminate and underlay was used ?
If the compound they used is moisture tolerant then you can Dpm over. I’d say no looking at it.
You need to know what screed it is. Is it a water mix type or a latex type ( bag and bottle )
100% That’s not ardex na the quarry’s would of needed ardex DPM1c
You want a tack adhesive for the underlay to sub floor like f41
What moisture meter was used. All sounds like it’s not been given enough time to dry out enough. so you have a old screed meeting a new one ?
