They do a micro plast with tiny pins on aswell for stairs so it doesn't grab prematurely... Great stuff and also I use I front of doubles on felt...
Oh and Gloucester stripe ( I think it's called if I remember correctly ) from the lifestyle range is quite nice
A tight short pile carpet 80/20 or a tightly woven loop pile wool again are best on stairs IMO however no carpet lasts forever and depends a lot...
Avoid felt back on stairs!!

To be fair their both top end carpet manufacturers, personally I'd prefer Victoria however it depends which range it is, and also depends on price...
