I find most amtico patterns are cut badly. Always have to faff on getting them to line up as they should.
Personally think Amtico is living purely off reputation and there days are numbered. Plenty other brands out now that are as good as if not better...

It would look miles better cutting around them.
If you set out so the tile edge falls half way across the spindle it would make life a lot easier to cut around them
Stairrods do some nice matwell ramps that may work, or if you’ve got the time cut around the spindles and finish with a nosing on the other side

Ardex a45/a46 and then feather. Feather would work in multiple coats though so entirely upto you
