I use ragni the longer ones. Just change it when I can't get it cleanish anymore.
I'd rip out out and re ply it personally to be safe.

Never had problems with gradus. I get them to do all the nosings on big jobs. Can't really comment on morelys as I don't use them.

Not a bad idea. I couldn't think of how a frames could work for our trade as we're not around for long enough like painters, builders etc.
