i use Unika mastic which is acrylic based, similar to painters caulk - So doesn't 'rubber up' like silicone. ANYWAY i always use a spare screw to...
love them...? do you hate them...? fitting to WC's etc, never nice but does look nice... couple of mm expansion & a nice neat bead of matching...
