Dalsouple will definatly do a black and white tile, looking at their album quite a high shine too. not cheap tho!
What about doing it in rubber tiles? They have to have a sealer that makes them shiny
Best to ask the manufacturer mate, I reckon you could screw down 9mm and nail. If the sub floors floated I wouldn't put solid over it.
