I thought it would be more than that,
    I'd want £1 prime £7 screed £7 fit
And contractor to have the gear ready on the floors,
    No humping up stairs

You might get that as a rate from a shop, but not as a contract bulk rate.
No where that I know anyway. If you do, please let me know where they are.....

From reading his post it looks like it's the odd flat here and there "London areas mainly"
I know it can be a bit cut throat on commercial jobs, I think alot of times they take the piss with floor layers.

If he's working alone he's got to do 1 flat in 2 days to make a wage, if he's dragging gear upstairs no lift, he going to struggle

I think your right tbh . Collecting materials and loading out jobs takes up a lot of time and effort .
Clearing site aswell is all down time .A 50 sqm flat equates to 500kg /1/2 ton of lugging materials without tools etc .
Thanks for the input fellas i have a better idea now than before . Cheers

Yep, agreed, if its the odd flat in different locations.
If its house bashing, I don`t think you would ever see those rates.
We just did a load of the exact same and we had to push for £12 inc corex.

I don`t even get £1 for prime and £7 for latex on my jobs. I just did supply & lay of 1400sq 140 miles away for £6 all in....
