guess that’s why people pay interior designers so much The retailer could just say they think it looks great. It’s a matter of opinion. Did you not notice it on the first day or did you only see the floor once it was completed?

They just told me that the there is no more left from the slab they were cut.. I'm hoping if I can manage to get the technical department to see the floor they'll agree to make some to match

 

Not really a matter of opinion.. it's clearly wrong.. it doesn't flow.. I was at work when it was fitted.. I came and looked quickly before it was finished and I had to tell the fitter to pull some up... because he'd done a shit job! I then only saw the finished product once it was all laid

 

Can any one recommend good installers in the Nottingham/derbyshire area?

 

I wouldn’t blame the installer. The floor design was chosen by the retailer and the customer. Who ever sold you the border with that floor is to blame

I will be making a you tube review of the work which will cost the company a hell of a lot of business if their not careful.. I'm giving them fair chance to sort it but they're fobbing me off.. all it takes is one you tube review of your work for things to dry up.. I don't want to do that.. I'm being left with little choice unfortunately.

 

The set outs not great but the you can’t blame a fitter for installing a floor thats been selected by a customer. Not fair really.
I can’t believe Amtico have made this one off and there’s no way of getting any more! Although we do get let down by flooring manufactures pretty much every week on one thing or another.

this is the point I'm making... the customer did not select the design... he was led to believe it would be best for the design... which it clearly isn't. Amtico have told me there is no more left.. but I am not going to leave this alone... not after the thousands I have spent

 

I don’t think they care about making it easier for the fitter. They probably just want to do a fancy border but have been caught out this time by a product they haven’t used before and now it looks crap. Did the shop tell you if they charge extra for border work? They normally do.

Amtico have always been really good to deal with from my experience unlike most other manufacturers. I would be surprised if they don’t help you. The retailer on the other hand....good luck
