With reference to the OP I've also has issues with roller marks and generally not particularly brilliant finish with NA at times, but I trust the stuff to stay on the floor so have stayed with it. I sometimes put a splash of water in the mix these days rather than leave out a bit of powder

The spread of misinformation is the main issue o_O

After reading this thread I decided to get 10 bags of NA as I hadn't used it for quite a while.

Primed the hell out of the sub like I always do and it it went down like glass.
Best I've ever seen it go down tbo
Didn't need the bag of feather I had on stand by ;)

Never primed with NA. Mainly because it was for a shop and they didn't give us primer or it was going down before a dpm so you couldn't use a primer.

You can use the NA liquid watered down under a DPM or even just water

You could, but not sure I would trust the watered down liquid primer under a dpm! And does a fully dried/evaporated water primer actually do anything other than pic up some dust?

I always prime before NA now mostly, flows better and im aware that ardex say no need for primer etc but ive not had any issues priming before.

Got a pallet of level it bond real cheap so will be using this up over the next few weeks.
To confirm I had a part of different batch NA lastweek and its back to how it should be, nice n creamy:cool:

You need to do something to prevent air bubbles in the screed or they will appear in the dpm too

To be fair I rarely see NA pin holing. I'm pretty sure a coat of water on a porous screed wouldn't stop that either

    It will help

Tbo I'd prime it diluted down under a dpm it's mostly water anyway.

Can't see the point really as I've never had a problem but each to their own.

Next time I've got some NA to use I'm gonna prime it with water and see if it helps
