With the exception of the start of the year, I think this might be one of our busiest years ever. My phone has been off the hook, with firms looking for floorlayers, all with stories of how unreliable, and how poor the standards have become, and some offering some crazy money. That`s the story I am hearing everywhere. Even when guys turn up, there not interested in working, just the payday !
If I allowed it then id be as busy as I have been during that pandemic but I allow extra time on jobs now, don't want to start burning myself out again. It's nice now as I feel I can take more time in between to have a little recharge. There is alot of work here in the Midlands/East Midlands still, kind of nice now I can pick and chose
Yes mental busy. Standards are being raised by consumers and some contractors and a lot of fitters haven’t. Still trying to bash out shit work on m2 rates. It’s great but it’s really hard to find good people to work with when you get busy
