    Carpet Basic + Course (3Day)

    Day 1
    · Health + Safety
    · Reading Moisture in concrete (basics)
    · Choosing the correct product to prepare the subfloor (timber + solid subfloors)
    · applying surface DPM (Demonstration)
    · applying primers (Demonstration)

    Lunch break (supplied by FloorSkills)

    · applying smoothing compounds to solid subfloors (Demonstration)
    · Repairing Concrete subfloors (Demonstration)
    · Applying plywood to timber subfloors (Demonstration)
    · Gripper types explained
    · Gripper fixing methods (wood / solid subfloor/ problem subfloors)
    Day 2

    Selection of materials for the day and why
    ‘Hands on ‘installing gripper rods and profiles
    ‘Hands on’ Installing underlay’s

    Lunch Break (supplied by FloorSkills)

    · ‘Hands on ‘ Stretch fitting carpet
    · ‘Hands on’ cutting carpet in and using different methods
    · Demonstration installing felt back carpets.
    · Question + Answers



    Day 3

    · Selection of materials for the day and why
    · ‘Hands on’ preparing a straight staircase
    · ‘Hands on’ installing carpet to straight stairs

    Lunch Break (Supplied by FloorSkills)

    · ‘Hands on’ preparing a kite winder for carpet
    · ‘Hands on’ Installing carpet to kite winder
    · ‘Hands on’ preparing a Bull nose for Cap + Band installation (Stitched bull nose on advanced course)
    · ‘Hands on’ Installing carpet (cap + band) to bull nose step

    Hi Jamie,

    yes we are. Look here - http://floorskills.co.uk/flooring-training-courses

    you may notice that courses are being changed to 'level1' / 'level 2' etc. There is a reason for this which i cant disclose at the moment. im happy to discuss over the phone tho.

    Lets just say, our courses are now well advanced of anyone elses. We can offer something that NO OTHER training provider can offer, let alone do. :D
