Does anyone know if there all made by one manufacturer ?
The quality seems so poor now. The last ones I bought, the magnets fell out straight away, and now the blades are loose.
Ive only had them about 8 months, and there fooked.
I would n`t mind spending more, if the quality went back to how it was, when they first came out.
It looks to me like there all the same, just different stickers on the side

And me, pop it back in with some adhesive at the end of the day.

I bought the Wolf adhesive spreader and noticed they do knives, should have got one to try.

Use Wolff knives, last 3 times longer than dolphin. Blade holder is much thicker and hinge much better.

the standard stages of ****e quality dolphin knifes
    1- buy dolphin knife
    2 -lose magnet
3 -pin fallout knife splits in 2
4 -tightning wheel comes loose from thread so have to tighten with screw driver
5 -pin that holds blade in wears out get ****ed off throw knife away
6 -buy new dolphin knife start process again

i still have an old tool box from when i first started work in 1996 with few old tools including 2 dolphin knifes and they feel so heavey and more solid than now

Well i`m glad it`s not just me.
I have tried other knifes, but can`t get on with them.
I guess it`s like when I first started. I used a Dolphin knife, but my dad used his old stanley knife.
He could never use a dolphin, as he hated the shape.
    Old git !

    Magnets??? what magnets?
I've used the same delphin/dolphin type knife for the last 4/5 years, still ok ish. (I'm obviously not working hard enough)
Mind you, I'm still using the same (builders) bolster for fitting carpets I started with 35 years ago. My dad was a builder, and I "borrowed" it from him, it was prob 20 years old then. lol

I use the 2000/dolphin for carpets and got a allegro for Amtico/karndean.
