Hi all, thanks for your advice so far. As part of our renovations we are replacing the existing solid oak knackered parquet in our hall with a new solid parquet.

We’ve taken up the old floor, which was stuck down with Bitumen (1930s house). I’m guessing we need to use a liquid DPM as there won’t be an existing damp proof course. I’ve been told I need a two stage epoxy one - is this right and has anyone got any recommendations? Will be using Rewmar MS adhesive, if that makes a difference. Have been quoted about £180 for the epoxy by Rewmar so was wondering about other brands. I was told the Rapid primer wouldn’t work for this, given the Bitumen?

    Only about 10m2 am guessing.

    Thanks

Murexin msx3 silane dpm, it’s not cheap but has what could be the strongest pull off strength within the U.K. for a dpm.
