What screed do you use Lambchop? As i said to you before i am petrified of screeding(old dog new tricks etc), i,ve been thinking that after 40 years in this trade i should have a go. What is the best one for me to use, that is Ted proof!

The easiest screed to use I would say is stopgap 300 and if you spike roller it you cant go wrong, v good

Why do you put down there dpm prep (900) without primer as that causes pinholes?

They will say because we dont have a primer sutible for damp floors, so ask them " why dont you have a primer to go over damp floors" LOL.

Also ask them if they can make there F46 a little bit more sticky. Its good as it is but a little bit more stick would help with bending boarders etc.

Also ask them if they can donate FREE hygrometers as fitters simply wont buy them!

Apart from that, the rest of there stuff is one of the best out there.

So Matt what sort of borders are you bending that requires F46 to have more bond strength.

This is a recurring problem Daz which I have looked into and studied it quite a bit and what I've found is the core ingredients of the LVT remain the same however adhesive ingredients change on a daily basis due to EU regulations on what they can and can't put in it. To the point I finally got the answer I was hunting for off the record the rep from xxxxxx I will not say who and where but he confirmed that they are struggling to get the ingredients right and stop this from happening one of the elements they are using is causing the LVT to shrink ever so slightly.
For an example on how much adhesive has changed over the years did you know since Gripfill was developed the recipe has changed 86 times and just because of the EU.

    Well, so they say.

But new laws are coming in and are in. For instance, if you purchased a brand new Ford Car and took it to a non Ford Dealer for a service you used to loose your warranty. However under new laws you can get serviced at any garage. If you need to make a claim for warranty them Ford as example would have to prove that you getting serviced else where has caused it to fail, before they can void warranty. If they cant prove this then they are liable to guarranty.

So, if i fit a Amtico floor for instance and i use fball glue and the flooring fails, i would get a independant report done. If i can prove that using Fballs glues is not related to the flooring failer then in a court of law you still have your guarranty.

But at the end of the day, if a plastic product fails it is normally down to installer error so you dont have any guarranty anyway.

Ok so where do I take my Ferrari for servicing then don't think my warranty would be valid if I took it to Ford.

Jay, under new laws you can take it where you want. If you need to claim on warranty then your warranty will not be void providing the work done by who ever you took it to does not result to the failer.

O and to add to that, As i used to work for ferria when i left school, there the last people i would take my car LOL!
