F78 Stopgap

    to be fair i've been fitting flooring for about 1 decade and i've only just discovered what anhydrite is so....

    aslong as they don't pass on the bill i guess i shouldn't be too fussed about it but then there's no guarantee that they won't pass it on..

    If the builder can’t tell you what product has been used I walk away..... no spec no job. Can’t recommend correct preparation without knowing what’s there........
    See the next picture...... I proved to remove Lateince back to solid dense surface, prime and latex with eurocol 902, had the rep out to spec it all for me, i was £2000 more expensive than alternative........ I start next week doing it correctly........
    If you can’t be sure there’s a dpm under the concrete then F78 is pointless...... it’s for keeping residual construction moisture at bay ( what’s in the concrete from initial mixing and drying) not for stopping any from earth moisture ( dampness rising from the earth under concrete).
