    hi lads ,

    Anyone laid direct over fball 78 ?

    I have a linoleum repair in a time critical area that requires a coat of 1200 then a couple of rolls of fball78.

    I am wondering if anyone has laid ontop of the membrane or is it worth while screeding again with 1200 before installing the linoleum.

    Don’t think it’s designed for a floor finish direct, another cost of 1200 will be needed

    No you can't lay lino directly on f78 needs a smoothing compound

    I find it strange more haven’t switched to silane on coat dpm’s, 3hrs and your on it

    Never used that. Sounds really good though. What brand would you recommend, guessing murexin?

    I think its a case of tried & tested, works.
    Just like the old Yellow Bucket.
    I worked with a guy who had used Green Bag all his life.

    I only really use using 404 resin DPM dries 1hour max per coat Never had any issues with it on any subfloor

    DPM Prime and screed in one day

    I don't use any yellow buckets

    I'm a 404 fan aswell, im impatient though having to then prime it and wait longer :rolleyes:

    Talking of yellow buckets I was doing some new build sites today, and Green Bag got delivered. Not seen that for time.
    I got sent out 8x units to do 100sq. lol
    Thats how many the last guy on site used...... they said

    Cheers . Didn't think it was worth cutting corners my self . Will advise another coat of 1200.

    I remember the buzz when 114 came out.....fitters were like I want 128.....nah try 114 it’s better lol
