Gloves while fitting

    Cotton gloves for your eczema mate
    Is best .for the rest of us how can you fit with gloves on I have never worn any in 50yrs of contract work.dont do washing up either.:)

    I do at night but they are too fragile for fitting carpets in. The Site gloves seem ok.
    Interestingly wool carpets barely effect me but only rerolled a cheap poly and my hands flared badly...

    Yes, all of the time. Unless I'm butting carpet tiles together.
    After a knife fell off a winder and cut the tendon of a finger, I rarely ever fit without any on. Six weeks out of work after an operation is not worth taking a chance not wearing any. I'm over 30 years laying floors, mostly without wearing gloves and it's not worth risking your digits.
    Also don't leave yourself open to insurance claims if your staff and apprentices have any accidents.
    Level 5 cut resistant are the best ones and you will get used to wearing them.
    Standard rubber gloves are great for screeding too.
