As a new (inexperienced) fitter I have just 6 simple and very small (straight) lay jobs under my belt. All done with mixed results. But doing a herringbone design, on this floor is a bold move !! Excluding all the prep, laying out a herringbone design could be hard enough !!
Hi Mitch. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm about to carry out something very similar (not attempting herringbone though!) and your install list is almost identical to what my research has led me to. The only things I've been reading different is regarding putting a 1-2mm gap between plywood for expansion and then taping before feather finishing (hopefully this isn't needed?). And also F49 appears to be overkill (only needed for low/high temp areas like conservatories), F44 should suffice? F49 is a 2 part mix, meaning it needs to be all used at once ideally? F49 is also twice the price from what I've seen. Would like to hear how your job went and any feedback or things you'd do differently? Thanks, Ashleigh
