What do you guys prefer to use to stick gripper on a concrete floor? At the moment we're using Fast Grip gripper adhesive when doing a big job and hot melt when doing a single room and we don't have time to wait for the gripper adhesive to fully cure.

Does the hot melt give as strong a bond as the gripper glue?

Do you have any suggestions on anything better?

I tell you what, I miss Morleys gripper glue. I never had any problems with that stuff taking a strong bond, I never felt worried that it was going to pop off the floor when stretched. Shame they when bust.

Never tried that stuff, what's the curing time on it?

And how would you compare it to Morleys?

That's good to hear, I've only ever used their gripper glue but it's the best I've used to date.

I would say its quicker and better than morleys, super blue,f33. Only one I thought was good was floorwise floor fix but it use to expand

hot melt isn't crap! Use it all the time on smooth concrete floors if they can't be nailed and pink grip on rougher surfaces which is excellent.

Floowise one was a joke! It expanded when dried and lifted the gripper off the floor lol

    hot melt sucks
    Not strong enough
Used to use A17, now rewmars flexifix
Am gonna get the a17 back in stock now tho
As quick as the hot melt gun, and sets solid by the time you have the underlay and cpt etc spread out, so no clue why anyone still uses the melt gun imo

Hot melt & Pink grip are both rubbish
Flexy fix is the way forward !
Nailing on concrete is a risky business

Because it works? As long as you prime the floor 1st it's not a problem! I also use Pink Grip as well which sets solid in 10-15mins

You need to use that stuff sparingly & then tap all the grip with the back of your tack hammer after 5 mins or so then it stick like ****e
All polyurethane adhesives expand & bubble & also polyurethane Dpms like turboK That's why a lot of folks stay clear of them coz the they don't know how to use them correclty
