If you use Flexyfix there is no need to prime the floor, just brush away dust and dirt. Don't use loads of it, less is more. Also, the grippers won't ping off if they get a good smack as Flexyfix doesn't set ridgid like the fast setting, foaming PU's, and Flexyfix will be ok with a power stretcher. Lastly, if you really want to speed up the curing of Flexyfix just wipe the floor or the gripper with a damp cloth!!
Ive used hot melt glue for 10 years and never had a problem, just seal floor with some spray and away you go, ive uplifted loads of carpets where the gripper has been stuck down by gripfill /flex fix etc and its come up with the carpet, no right or wrong way to do it.
You lifted loads of carpets and the gripper has come up when it's been stuck with flexi....don't think so mate.
I know this is an old post but would flexyfix be ok for solid stairs? it's a domestic job have drilled and plugged gripper in the past but takes forever
You will not have uplifted a carpet and found a "Flexyfixed" gripper rod that's come up.Whatever it is that you've found it isn't Flexyfix. It doesn't happen. Gripfill, yes. Flexyfix, No chance.
