HI all, i have recently had an extension build for my kitchen, builder said he would level the floor after the kitchen went in (should have spoken up then but he said he knew best). Issue is, concrete is around 6mm higher than the chipboard subfloor you see to the left of the radiator. Now there's a sort of ramp down to it. I'm thinking of bringing up the chip board using 6mm ply. Then possibly add screed into the gap between the concrete and the wood? is that possible? I'm a proper noob, but also not got much money to pay £2700 (which is what ive been quoted) to pay someone to prep and fit the herringbone LVT down.
Also the Concrete you see on the old patch is reading over 4% moisture which he says is bad, so i'll need some sort of DPM for that. [IMG]

Yes that’s a good way to do it. Use plywood to get levels then fill in the concrete section.
Then prime & screed the whole area at 5mm using a fibre compound like Mapei renovation
