No latex had blown while I was there, I'm just glad I was doing the alloy stringers on stairs and not involved in the room fitting

Yeah and some don't think you need to if it LOOKS dry, or don't want to pay for it or wait 'til dry enough that's always fun lost a few jobs like that because we refused to fit them unless we DPM'd the subfloor or they waited until Rh was below 75%

Thats my theory gone then ! I was thinking that maybe the 1K turbo had been applied to thick (like you would a epoxy) and maybe that had caused bonding issues with the compound.

Anyway, defo looks like moister issue. I cant see it being tho as 1 k turbo applied. Unless tehy have applied patchy ? But if there used to using epoxy then i would guess they would be o.k at painting a subfloor. The missing bits around teh edge will defo effect teh floor but i would expect a bit further down the line than straight away.

Leves the adhesive being a issue or a product fault.

Have you asked manufacturer to come and look?

As said by Tarket, due to all the different material used it could be a issue, a independent report may be needed to point the blame at someone.

It's not enough for them to go bust luckily, but they may not get a Xmas bonus this year, stupid thing is out of the 19 fitters on the cards and average of 8 subbies a day it's only 3 full time fitters that keep making the cock ups

think the main problem is one of them is very well known and has a hell of a lot of builder contacts which only he does there work ( never hear of a cock up on them ) and if they got rid of his a lot of work will disappear

from what you've told us the fitter is responsible for replacing this job it's their cock up not the retailer

That's the way it should be, if myself as a subbie cocks up a job I do for you I expect to be handed a bill to replace it there for take my time and do it perfect not to get that bill, but if you have a bloke on the cards and has a big cock up in the £1000s he will never pay for it as they would just quit and go work for someone else, unfortunately round here there is one flooring company that have a high turn over of fittersand will take any crap then sack them when realize there crap there for always looking for new fitters so there's pretty much always a job open if someone walks out of one they go straight to this other company

couldn't work like that if they worked for me they'd pay or they'd never work in my area again i'd make sure of it, also i'd take them to court if they wouldn't pay and get recompensed and hopefully have them go bust then get them blacklisted in the uk it's not too hard, then take all their work

It's a shame if you could roll 2 companies I work for in to one and piss the bad fitters off you would have 1 company with brilliant fitters and brilliant contacts / work but thats never going to happen so I'll be happy just float around doing what I do in my own time earning money, and as long as my phone keeps ringing with people wanting me to do work subbie or my own work I'm happy as I must be doing something right.
