I sell polyflor and cavalliho as I get a good price on them also have a broucher to give the customer a idea of what it would look like.
I asked for some distinctive samples from my wholesaler after reading posts on here how good they are. they gave me 3 books from abingdon so a bit confused they actually looked quite nice bit just taking a sample to a customer without being able to show what it looks like is a hard sell.

I sub for about 80 percent of my work. those who I sub for seem to sell karndean regardless even though the last job I did I had to undercut every plank just to get them to fit. They are as blind to the concept of a lvt as a average customer , see karndean as the only option.

I though caviliho was polyflor comes in the same box and samples are from polyflot but my wholesaler swears they are not why I don't know. (Potts and ward in brighton)
Regards karndean fitted it in a bathroom yesterday and if you put 2 together you could see the backing between them knight tile kp 61 I think white washed colour Unless I back cut them they looked gapply. Fitting a load of kp 40 last week and it was coming out the pack cupped. Not sure weather the is manufacturers problem or the way it's been stored normally turns up and half the boxes are open on ends. but this is not for me bilut for a company I sub for personally I would send it back if it came in that state.
I personally do not rate karndean 1 bit but as I work out a van I won't ever have to deal with them.
Regards the distintive samples they had them in the price list I asked and that is all they came up with.
as I said I don't do a lot of my own but last 2 months have sold about 250 sq metres of polyflor products. so if there is something better out there it would be great to know more about it.
though I feel most people are stuck in there ways and will only sell what they know.

It doesn't matter now but we refused all karndean deliveries that were sent out with City link. Everything was being delivered opened and bowed like mad. Sometimes it was soaking set and sometimes it got lost lol. Was never bowed when delivered by there own guys or by uk mail.

I had the distinctive samples with stand, seen Marc beven at floorskills and he gave it me at a good price never got a price list rang abingdons up for one never got one rang again and my account was cancelled, I can't sell if I haven't got a price to tell customers, I binned them in end, I stick with karndean and polyflor expona.

I never knew distinctive was in Potts & ward....interesting.....trev an acc will only be closed down if no business is done, norm 12 months of no business then it's shut down.
Nothing wrong with karndean of polyflor if it works for you then happy days
