Apologizes for not making this one,Had van problem's on the way down to it. So now on the look out for a new van!! Hope it all went well
Went really well. i was very impressed with the epoxy resin 'designer' grout they have for tiles. You can wipe it clean with water and the sparky finish it has i can see being the next craze for tiled areas. The factory tour was also very interesting along with going into the research and test labs.
Course was very good - thanks Matt for organising it. No everyone did not turn up but the THREE of us who did go found it very interesting. As Matt said the factory tour was good and they had some new products on board. For those that went to the previous Mapei one, the first day was pretty much the same as last time but showing us the new products with the second day dealing more with ceramics. For those of you who use a lot of the F.Ball 700, Mapei now do a renovation screed which is fibre enhanced and therefore flexible and apparently a lot cheaper than their other one or the 700 but I haven't found it on anyones price list yet. It has great pourablenessousisty (thats a technical term only those who went on the course are allowed to use) and flows almost as well as 300. Their LatexplanTrade flows even better so with these two screeds you've got it pretty well covered - pardon the pun! Oh and we got lots of freebies - pens pencils mugs Tshirts mixing buckets and two tickets each to the European Cup final. Bet you wish you'd gone now!!
I can do them and used to but i dont anymore. I hate them to be honest, but more down to the fact i hate grouting and the adhesives. However, having a play with the mapei products they are much better and easier to use compared to the stuff i used to use.
