Do any of you ask for full payment of materials before fitting?

 

Yeah or 50% deposit if it covers it

Yeah £200 to secure fitting dates, then 50% to order materials. Balance when job is complete.

Anyone know of companies that charge for a survey?
As in (example) Charge £37+vat before they cross the front door. Create a estimate and plan of action and details etc. If the customer wants to proceed then the cost is deducted from the bill. If they go elsewhere then they get the figures and plan to do it themselves if they wish.

 

I suppose only deposit 50%
