Hi chaps, looking for some advice and possibly a reccomendation or two. We need someone to supply and fit a new parquet floor to our whole downstairs. We’re based in the Epping Forest area and have approximately 59 Sq M to cover. In terms of style, we’ve been looking at various options and think solid oak parquet is the way to go. This is going in a kitchen so would need to be sealed with something tough. That said, we accept that part of the beauty of real wood is the way it ages etc. In terms of what we need... 59 Sq M in herringbone with borders throughout. 6 Sq M of 9mm Marine Ply to existing wooden floorboards (we’ll make sure concrete level is matching) 37 Sq M of latex smoothing to existing concrete base (new areas) Sand and seal all floors in oil - something durable enough for a kitchen, but nothing shiney. What kind of oil should we be looking at, and are there any do's and don'ts? Regards Simon
