    Its simple...
keep your spikey nice and clean. I always have a pump spray (cheapy from wickes) on my van full with water just incase I need to give the spikey a fine blast. Rectangular tray is a must so you dip after each roll. Any screed left over gets dumped in the old bags.
just remember when you go to lift the buggers in the morning :D

I used to be lazy and rarely cleaned my roller and would buy the same new spikey every month but this was obviously becoming to expensive and I decided to clean all my old ones one sunday.....it took me literally all day to hand pick the soft screed off after they had been soaked over night. Great thing is I now have close to a 1000 spare spikes

    Ready to clean the spikes.
Take them off an put in boiling water with fairy liquid then leave a bit. Screed then rubs off with your fingers.

A good way to clean them is take them off put on a flat surface and tap with hammer. Takes about two minutes to do easy peasy.
