Anyone got any tips on how to stop straight edge going rusty?

On my second straight edge, put the 1st one down to being cheap, but this one has started to go the same way

    Any ideas guys?
    Cheers

If I did that I’d have to put it in fridge with my lunch to remember it the following morning lol

apparantyly leaving a couple bags of kids chunky chalk in the back of van will help regarding the moisture causing thie rust, or so i read anyway absorbs the moisture i think

They all seem to rust mate. Sont k ow how many times labourers have thrown mine away when cleaning up on site. I politely ask them to go bin dipping and get it back

Oil it up and take it to bed to spoon. Treat it like a lady
